Thank you Dental Departures..I was very impressed with this dental clinic…I would rate it as “excellent” rather than just “very good”. They arranged for Robert to pick me up and take me back to the border with each visit and it was much appreciated! Thank you Roberto! I would have felt safe walking, but it was nice to have a ride. I believe he must be part of the family business and I made the mistake of offering to pay him, which he graciously declined. This clinic has a very nice, all female staff, some of whom speak excellent English. My care was just as or even more professional than any dentist I have been to in the states: they took a full medical history, vital signs and x-rays before the procedure. I am a very nervous person at the dentist and they did all they could to help me relax without a sedative, the assistant even held my hand at one point. (I had brought a prescribed valium, but the doctor said she couldn’t let me leave by myself with a valium on board…like I said, very professional) They made very sure I was completely numb before starting the root canal, and were very patient as I obviously need a lot of Novocain! I also have trouble breathing in a reclined position so they were able to accommodate that by bringing my head up a bit. They maintained a sterile field with a type of drape…the doctor explained that they consider a root canal a surgery. I felt no pain at all and was finally able to relax somewhat! (I am such a big baby…it is the anticipation of pain that is the worst) The bill was slightly less than I expected…no hidden costs. My only complaint might be the time it takes to go through immigration back to the US, even walking. If you are not in a hurry, this can be part of the experience! The worst day was the Friday before Father’s Day though…the line stretched a long way and took about 3 hours…so I would recommend not making an appointment before a holiday…or a weekend at all. My Wednesday visit only took about 30 mins to walk out. And once out, the San Diego Trolley is right there to take you back to your hotel/motel. I stayed in Chula Vista right next to the trolley line so it was very convenient. I love the San Diego Trolley…there is one every 15 mins!, Thank you Dr. Duarte, Dr. Meza and staff at Dental Spana!

The staff at dental spaña was polite and professional .My dentist was a young beautiful girl who had a bedside manner beyond her years. Her gentleness & communication put me completely at ease. The crowns I got were of the highest quality & $605 cheaper than the U.S. Highly Recommended.

At first I was a little nervous going to TJ for my dental work. Dental Spana changed my view on this. They picked me up from the border and brought me straight to the clinic, this service is priceless especially if you don’t know how to drive in Mexico. The driver made us very comfortable and then brought us straight to the clinic where I met the staff who was extremely friendly and professional. The clinic was very clean and the Dr’s are very experienced. I got 2 root canals w/ posts and temporary crowns for a third of the overall cost of dental work in the U.S. Im go back next week to finish the job.I saved so much money and were so impressed with their work, I would recommend them to anyone. I arrived on Monday 4/22/13 received 3 root canals plus consult for implant by Dr Elisa Meza Duarte. Who provided excellent care, next was treated by Dr Miriam Morales for 3 crowns plus temporary tooth. Receive Extraction plus Implant on 4/25/13 with good results Dr Miriam finish placement of lab crown on Implant plus will update on status of all dental work so far very satisfied.

Gracias a Dental Departures. Quedé muy impresionada con esta clínica dental… la clasificaría como “excelente” en vez de “muy buena”. ¡Coordinaron para que Roberto me transportara de ida y vuelta de la frontera en con cada visita y lo aprecio mucho! ¡Gracias Roberto! Me habría sentido segura caminar, pero fue agradable tener un paseo. Creo que debe ser parte del negocio familiar y cometí el error de ofrecerle un pago por el transporte, a que él educadamente declinó. Esta clínica tiene un equipo muy agradable de personal femenino, algunas de las cuales hablan excelente inglés. Mi cuidado era justo como o aún más profesional que cualquier dentista que haya visitado en los Estado Unidos: tomaron una historia médica completo, signos vitales y radiografías antes del procedimiento. Soy una persona muy nerviosa en el dentista e hicieron todo lo posible para ayudar a relajarme sin un sedante, incluso la asistente dental en cierto punto sostuvo mi mano. (Había traído un valium prescrito, pero la doctora dijo que ella no podría dejarme irme sola bajo los efectos del valium, como dije, muy profesional) Se aseguraron que estuviera completamente anestesiada antes de iniciar con la endodoncia, y fueron muy pacientes conmigo ya que obviamente necesitaba mucho anestésico. También tengo problemas para respirar en posición reclinada así que colocaron de manera que mi cabeza estuviera un poco mas elevad. Mantuvieron un campo estéril con un tipo de campo quirúrgico… la doctora me explicó que consideran una endodoncia como cirugía. ¡No sentí dolor en lo absoluto y finalmente me pude relajar un poco! (Soy un gran bebé… es la anticipación al dolor lo que es peor). La cuenta que era levemente menos que lo que esperaba… no había costos ocultos. Mi única queja pudo ser el tiempo que toma para pasar por inmigración de regreso a los E.E.U.U., incluso caminando. ¡Si usted no tiene prisa, esto puede ser parte de la experiencia! El día peor fue el viernes antes del día de padre… la línea se extendía muy larga y tomó alrededor de 3 horas… así que recomendaría no hacer una cita antes de un día de festivo… o un fin de semana. Mi visita de miércoles llevó solamente cerca de 30 minutos. Y una vez que salí, el tren (trolley) de San Diego esta justamente ahí para llevarte de regreso a su hotel/motel. Me hospedé en Chula Vista al lado de la línea del tren (trolley), así que fue muy conveniente. ¡Amo el Trolley de San Diego… hay salidas cada 15 minutos! ¡Gracias el Dr. Duarte, el Dr. Meza y al personal de Dental Spaña!.

En el principio tenía un poco de nervios ir a Tijuana para mi trabajo dental. Dental Spana cambió mi opinión sobre esto. Me Recogieron en la frontera y me trajo directo a la clínica, este servicio es inestimable especialmente si usted no sabe conducir en México. El conductor me hizo sentir muy cómoda antes y después de llevavarme directo a la clínica donde el personal es extremadamente amistoso y profesional. La clínica estaba muy limpia y las doctoras tienen mucha experiencia. Tuve 2 endodoncias con los postes y las coronas temporales. El costo total de trabajo dental es 1/3 comparado en los E.E.U.U. Regresare la semana próxima para acabar el trabajo. Ahorré tanto dinero y quede muy impresionada con el trabajo, se los recomendaría a cualquier persona!. Gracias Dental Spana

Llegue el lunes 22/4/13 y recibí 3 endodoncias mas consulta para Implantes por la Dra Elisa Meza Duarte. Quien me brindo un cuidado excelente, dé ahí fui tratado por la Dra Miriam Morales para 3 coronas y un diente provisional.
Recibí una extracción mas un implante el 25/4/13 con resultados buenos. Dra Miriam termino con la colocación de la corona. Actualizare mi status de todo el trabajo dental, mientras tanto muy satisfecho.
